Every one of our Activity Stop staff moved here to Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii because they longed for this tropical paradise. The first time they came to Maui, they fell in love with it, the people, the beaches, surf, snorkeling, and of course, the weather .

Our agents are picked because they love helping people with their vacation: what to do, where to eat, the best snorkeling trips. They know how to save you money and time. Activity Stop has grown to be one of the best activity companies in Hawaii. All our agents go on the activities before they can sell them and we let them book their favorites.

When you make a reservation with us you also make a friend.

Because of our large volume of activity sales we buy tickets in bulk for a better rate then you could get if you went direct. So that is why we can give you 5% to 50% off your activities when you book in advance. We also can offer timeshare promotions for much bigger savings as an option but in no way a requirement. We also give you 2 for 1 vouchers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is as simple as booking in advance and saving 5% to 50% on your activity.

How Do I Book?

When you click on "Book It", your selection is added to your shopping cart. This is a "cookie" (a small file) that resides on your own computer. You'll have a chance to change your mind, erase bookings, change dates, etc. before you go on to finalize your order. When you "check out", you'll tell us your name address, phone and hotel (your hotel is very important - the activity companies need it in case they need to contact you). Then you'll be taken to a secure (encrypted) site to input your credit card.

After entering your credit card, you'll be shown a screen confirming that you've completed the booking process and reminding you of our toll-free number and address.

Soon you'll receive a confirmation email listing the activities you've booked.

What if I Want to Change or Cancel?

Once you've completed your booking (finished putting in your credit card and gotten your confirmation email) you can still change your mind provided you give us 72 hours advanced notice. There is no charge for cancelling or changing your reservation, provided you do it 72 hours or more prior to the start of the activity. After that, we have to charge you because the activity company will charge us! However, since we do a lot of business, we can sometimes talk a company into changing a reservation with no charge...but no guarantees unless you notify us at least 72 hours prior to the activity start.

Should I Wait to Book Closer to My Arrival?

Since, you can always change or cancel up to 72 hours prior to the activity, it makes sense to lock in the time you want (and the price...prices only seem to go up, never down!) The popular and lowcost activities book up weeks and even months in advance.

What if the Weather is Bad and the Activity Cancels?

Of course you get a refund! Or we'll reschedule you, if you'd rather. All outdoor and ocean Maui activities are subject to weather. For instance, if the surf or wind is bad, sometimes a snorkel captain will take you to another spot that is calmer instead of the spot you thought you were going to. We recommend that all our customers ask if the snorkel (or dive) cruise is going to the advertised location (e.g. Molokini) if the weather looks bad. If they are going to an alternate site and you really, really only want to go to Molokini, then ask them for a refund right then and there. We'll process your refund, if they have agreed. Once you go on the cruise, it is pretty much impossible to get a refund.

Are Your Prices Guaranteed?

Our prices are 99.9% correct but just in case our programmer makes a mistake, we need to let you know that prices are subject to change. This is especially true during January when the activity companies tend to raise rates and forget to tell us!

But once, we've charged your credit card and booked you - that's it - you've got a lock on that price...even if the company subsequently raises it, you'll pay the lower price.

We do our very best to keep our prices current (only once in the last 2 years did we have an incorrect price) and will immediately notify you if our advertised price was incorrect. We definitely won't charge you or obligate you if the price shown was incorrect. We'll always ask you and get your OK.

How Do You Protect My Privacy?

Your credit card information is collected via encrypted secure connection and then deleted from the internet available computer. Your information is saved in our order system. Here are the things that we share with the activity company we're booking you with:
  • Your name
  • Your hotel and arrival date
  • If you want, your cellphone # (especially if you are staying at a private condo)
We give this information to the activity company so that they can contact you in case of inclement weather, mechanical breakdowns, etc.

We don't share any of your information (except noted above) with any other company for any reason.

Some day we might send you a postcard or an email but as yet, we don't do that. In any event, we wouldn't contact you more than once or twice in a year. If you don't want to hear from us, just write it in the notes section when you book.

As mentioned above, our shopping cart system uses a cookie (a small file) to store your order (but not your name, credit card or any personal information) on your own computer until you finish checking out. If you choose to save your name and address information, that too will be saved as a cookie on your own computer. Your credit card number is never stored online except briefly on our encrypted system before we download it to the computer in our office.

Do I have to Do a Timeshare Tour to Get Your Low Prices?

No! No! No!

We are primarily an activity booking company. You simply pay, pick up your tickets and go play. No hidden restrictions.

Some people want to save even more and they opt to do a timeshare tour (or more elegantly "a vacation ownership presentation") but you have to ASK us to do that and then we give you another $100 off the prices we show

We offer this as an option because we don't want to lose the customers who want this extra $100 off. We'll arrange a tour (in fact, we can arrange presentations at a number of different hotels and condos) but if this isn't for you, then feel free to ignore this part. You'll find that almost every activity sales company on the internet will book timeshare because a number of people want it. But laws are strict in Hawai'i and if someone is advertising a price that is tied to a timeshare presentation, they are obligated to say something to tip you off such as "promotional price" or "some restrictions apply" etc.

All of our prices are just regular prices - no timeshare.
